Steve Whittingham (Chief Executive Officer)
No two days are the same at Camphill Devon – the people we support, our team, and our wonderful setting make it such a special place.
As CEO I have overall responsibility for the operations and performance of Camphill Devon. I have a legal duty to ensure that we meet regulations, both with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as well as other authorities, and how this applies to our residential houses, our supported living service, and our craft and land activities. I report to the Chair of the Board, and the other Trustees, so that they are informed of important Camphill Devon activities and decisions.
An important part of my role is communication, both with the people that live and work at Camphill, but also people’s families, and funding authorities. I always enjoy coming to work at Camphill Devon, and the best bit is seeing people living their lives in the way they want, and knowing that our team makes a positive difference each and every day.

Kelly Westbury (Registered Manager)
I oversee the operational care and support activities within our registered residential, Supported Living services and Day Services. I maintain and develop our quality standards including quality assurance and auditing our services.
My role also includes acting as a Safeguarding Lead and liaising with internal and external parties to secure the safety and well-being of the people we support.
Cynthia Dyer (Finance Officer)
My role is Finance Officer, administering all finances at Camphill Devon from payroll, invoicing, payments to all suppliers, petty cash and anything else finance related including donations and monies raised at fundraising events.

Carly Chalk (Volunteer Co-ordinator)
I am the Volunteer Co-ordinator and Mentor.
I recruit our international volunteers who are selected to share their lives with the people we support on a 12-month placement.
Day to day I deal with all thing’s immigration, I issue the sponsorship certificates for our successful candidates and support them through the Visa application process.
Once our volunteers arrive, I am available to them as a mentor, ensuring they are content and settled in their new role as part of our community. I organise social gatherings for our volunteers and hold a monthly meeting to stay connected.
The part I enjoy the most about my role here is the multicultural aspect, I interview people from all over the world and once they arrive I love to learn about their culture.
When I am not at work you will find me out and about trying to tire out my two young children!
Penelope McDonald (Office Manager/Company Secretary)
I oversee the day to day running of the Office and organise all training, from face to face to our online Grey Matter and everything else besides. I manage the office team advising on key aspects of the central office function as required. I am responsible for the Board meetings with the Trustees of Camphill and ensure the site is compliant with Employment Law changes.

Jade Thurley (Recruitment & Referral Lead)
Hi! I’m Jade, the Recruitment & Referral Lead within Camphill Devon’s Central Services. I have been working at Camphill Devon for 3 years, my job allows me to be creative as well as making a small, yet positive, contribution to the lives of the People we Support, who I love interacting with! I deal largely with staff recruitment, coordinate referrals/admissions into Camphill Devon, as well as managing the company’s social media platforms in amongst general administrative and benefit related tasks for the people we support.
Liam Abbott (Receptionist/Project Administrator)
I work in a multitude of areas from Volunteer applications, hosting visits, front of house Reception, first aid, fire warden, social media, HR and much more.
If you ring Camphill Devon, I will most likely be the first voice you hear!
I actually started working at Camphill Devon on my birthday in 2021 and have loved making a difference to the lives of the people we support. It is genuinely a pleasure to spend time with them, whether that be on during my hours on site or at a community event.

Liz Wilkinson-Cave
I oversee the rural activities on site including Metal work, Pottery, Woodwork, Textiles and the Land.
I help to organise our onsite fairs as well as external exhibitions and outlets for the work that is created in the workshops. I’m always looking for new opportunities for the people we support to enrich their lives.
I am also responsible for the monthly newsletter and helps support our social media.
I support site tours and transitions into the service so I am often one of the first people you will meet.
