VOLUNTEERING
In 2023, I began my journey with Camphill. During the initial days of my volunteer work, I was a bit concerned because my background, religion and beliefs were different from others. I required time for prayers, and my food preferences were also different as I could only eat halal meat, chicken, etc. However, Camphill took very good care of me, and they provided me with time to pray and a reasonable amount of money to buy halal food every week.
Camphill Devon has a long tradition of welcoming people from all over the world to work as a resident Volunteer for a period of a year. Please note we cannot accommodate work experience students for short term internships. You may be looking for an opportunity during a gap year or before you embark on your career path or you may be looking for a career break, exploring new horizons and the untapped potential in yourself. Camphill Devon it’s my second home! I came to do volunteer work in 2022, I had the best experience of my life. My connection with this place was so intense I didn’t want to leave here. I managed to secure a permanent position. Thank you guys for the opportunity, working in a lovely place with kind people.
